Everglades Pontoon Eco-Tour
everglades.jpg
This eco-nature tour begins in the heart of the Everglades, the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States and one of the largest wetlands in the world. A pontoon boat will cruise the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Ten Thousand Islands to examine the rich ecosystem of Southwest Florida. The tour will travel through island estuaries to observe the many forms of wildlife and birds inhabiting the vast mangrove jungle. Participants can expect to see alligators, dolphins, ospreys, bald eagles, and other fascinating wildlife in their natural habitat. The tour includes a stop at one of the islands for a chance to see dolphins up close. Once ashore participants can enjoy collecting what makes the islands famous—sea shells.
