Update: Overflow Hotel
Innisbrook Hotel, the main Presidents Institute hotel, is now completely sold out. The hotel has agreed to establish a waitlist and will work with CIC to accommodate as many Institute participants as possible. In the meantime, CIC recommends an overflow hotel that is just about 15 minutes away from Innisbrook. Shuttle service will be provided between the Courtyard by Marriott and Innisbrook.

Participants should contact the Courtyard by Marriott directly to make hotel arrangements. The reservations office will be happy to assist with your accommodations. CIC will continue to accommodate as many Institute participants as possible at Innisbrook and seeks your assistance in this effort. Should you find that you are unable to attend the Presidents Institute, please contact Allison Blackburn, CIC director of conferences (ablackburn@cic.nche.edu or 202-466-7230) so that your reservation may be passed on to another Institute participant. Located near Tampa and just 25 miles from Tampa International Airport (TPA), Innisbrook Hotel is situated on 900 wooded acres of lush rolling hills, providing the perfect environment for a relaxing conference. Recently renovated, the hotel features a new luxury spa, six heated pools, four restaurants, three bars, and four championship golf courses designed by Larry Packard. Currently, the PGA TOUR Transitions Championship is played on the resort’s famed Copperhead Course and the LPGA-supported Legends Tour Open Championship is played on its Island Course. Winners of the Transitions Championship at Innisbrook have included Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, and Jim Furyk.
 
When calling to make your reservations, please indicate that you are with the Council of Independent Colleges Presidents Institute to receive the discounted conference rate. This rate includes unlimited in-room high-speed internet access, on-property transportation, fitness center access, unlimited 800 calls, unlimited local calls, parking, complimentary shuttle to Honeymoon Island beaches, and access to all resort facilities including restaurants, swimming pools, golf courses, and clubhouses. The reservation deadline is Monday, December 3, 2012. Please note that reservations made after the deadline cannot be guaranteed at the conference rate and will only be accommodated on a spaceavailable basis.
 
 

Transportation
The closest airport to the Innisbrook Hotel is the Tampa International Airport (TPA), located about 25 miles away. Taxi service is provided by Yellow Cab, (813) 253-0121, and United Cab, (813) 253-2424. Taxi fares to or from the hotel are approximately $66 one-way. Super Shuttle and Execucar (also run by Super Shuttle) provide 24-hour service, seven days a week. Super Shuttle service is approximately $28 per person one-way ($56 round-trip), and Execucar rates range between $70 and $150 one-way depending on the type of vehicle and number of passengers. Reservations are recommended for pick-up at the airport or hotel. Dress Guidelines
Casual resort wear is appropriate throughout the Presidents Institute. Business attire is suggested only for the Awards Reception and Banquet on Sunday, January 6. If you plan to participate in any of the tours, be sure to bring comfortable clothes, walking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen.
 

Family and Guests
All daytime sessions during the Presidents Institute, including breakfast and lunch discussions, are open only to registered participants. Tickets may be purchased onsite for special guests and family members to participate in the Welcoming Reception and Dinner on January 4. Tickets for the Awards Reception and Banquet on January 6 may be ordered when you register for the Institute.
