Golf Tournament

Monday, January 7, Noon–6:30 p.m.
The 2013 Presidents Institute will feature a special post-Institute Golf Tournament beginning at noon on Monday, January 7. Golf enthusiasts can sign up for an 18-hole golf scramble that will be held on the prestigious Innisbrook Golf Resort Island Course.

The 7,310-yard, par 72 Island Course was chosen by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) as the site of the August 2012 Legends Tour Open Championship. The course also has hosted numerous U.S. Open qualifiers and NCAA championships. Playing the picturesque Island Course, ranked among the country’s top 50 resort courses by Golf Digest, is an exceptional opportunity. Its opening six holes are bordered by beautiful Lake Innisbrook and feature challenging water hazards. Holes seven through 12 feature rolling hills dominated by cypress and pine trees. The final section boasts a mixture of extraordinary holes and ends with an 18th hole that is one of the most photographed in Florida. Additional information about the course can be found at

Both semi-pros and duffers will want to participate and are encouraged to sign up by November 1 to ensure a spot as availability is first-come, first-served. Presidents may choose their own twosome or foursome, including other presidents, spouses, or guests. Alternatively, golfers can be assigned a compatible foursome. The scramble will begin promptly at noon with a shotgun start. A boxed lunch will be provided. The tournament will conclude with an informal awards reception with refreshments.

The tournament fee of $150 per person includes a boxed lunch, green fees, cart rental, and awards reception. Nike clubs are available for rental ($50 plus tax payable onsite) but must be reserved at the time of registration. Please note that soft cleats are required for all golfers.
