Additional Features

The State Funds Annual Conference offers a range of additional program features.

Spouses and Guests Program
Monday, April 30, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

The Annual Conference features a Spouses and Guests Program that runs concurrent with the conference program.

Spouses and guests will be treated to a Guided Tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home and Studio. A short distance from the hotel is Oak Park, Illinois, where Frank Lloyd Wright built his first family home and began his architectural career. His architectural practice thrived for 20 years in the studio adjacent to his home where he and his associates experimented with design concepts that contain the seeds of Wright's architectural philosophy. Here Wright developed a new concept in American architecture, the “Prairie” style, which is represented by the home itself. Tour guides will offer insights into Wright's family life and architectural career. Lunch will follow the tour at Hemingway’s Bistro, which honors another notable local cultural figure, author Ernest Hemingway. Participants will meet at 10:00 a.m. in the hotel lobby for transportation to the site, and will return to the hotel at 2:00 p.m.

Spouses and guests are also welcome to participate in the Opening Reception on April 29 and the Awards Reception and Dinner on April 30. Please register for these sessions and the Spouses and Guests Program using the online registration form.
