Room Rate: $299.00 per night plus state and local taxes for single or double occupancy. In order to get the conference rate you must call to make your reservation and refer to Council of Independent Colleges. This special room rate is available only from September 27, 2011, through October 1, 2011. Reservations for other dates may be higher at the hotel’s regular room rate.

The Grand Hyatt New York is situated just four blocks away from TIAA-CREF’s headquarters, the location of the 2011 Foundation Conversation. It is also conveniently located in Manhattan’s popular East-side neighborhood, adjacent to Grand Central Terminal station, and close to many of the city’s attractions including Times Square, Central Park, Fifth Avenue and the theater district. Check-in is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is noon. Please note that cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to arrival. Note that there is a $3.50 per night room charge in addition to sales tax of 13.4%. Any reservation not cancelled or any no-shows will be charged one night’s room rate plus applicable sales tax.
