He eventually merged his firm with Conrad, O'Brien, Gellman and Rohn, a Philadelphia regional law firm specializing in complex civil, business, and privacy litigation.During this time, he was elected as a committeeman of the Chester County Republican Committee and a Coatesville City Council member, and became chairman of the Chester County Republican Committee in 1994. He served as chair of Pennsylvania's Republican Party from 1996 until 2005.Mr. Novak was appointed by President George Bush to serve on the President's Advisory Commission for White House Fellows, and he also served on the Bush-Cheney Commerce Department Transition team in 2001. He opened Novak Strategic Advisors, a government affairs consulting and lobbying firm based in Harrisburg, in 2001. He is a 1971 graduate of Ursinus College and earned his law degree from Villanova University in 1975.
