Please review the PDFInstructions for Applicants and other information on the program website before completing this application form, as these instructions do not include all the considerations that applicants should keep in mind.

Please submit one application for the three-person team from your institution. The team should include a full-time faculty member in the humanities; a collections professional from the campus library, archive, or museum; and a senior campus administrator with responsibilities for external relations (public outreach and partnership).

Instructions for Completing the Form:
  1. For proper tracking of applications and for security reasons, accessing the application form requires authentication. To review the application form and to submit an application, please use the Sign In link at the top of the page to sign in with your username (institutional email address) and CIC password. If you do not know your CIC password, you can retrieve your password online (and if you do not have an account, you will be prompted to create one).

  2. Be prepared to submit an application package consisting of the following items. A single document in the PDF format is preferred, but the budget may be submitted as a separate Excel spreadsheet.
    1. A narrative statement of no more than six (6) single-spaced pages that addresses the questions detailed in the PDFInstructions for Applicants.
    2. A project budget, prepared usingExcelthis template.
    3. Brief biographies (200 words or fewer) of each team member.
    4. A signed letter of support from the president of the CIC member institution affirming the institution’s commitment to specific goals and expectations detailed in the application.
    5. A signed letter of support from the community-based organization that will serve as a partner for the project.
