​​CIC now serves more than 680 independent colleges and universities, including liberal arts, comprehensive, four-year, two-year, and international institutions. In addition, more than 50 national, state, and regional organizations are Affiliate Members and 27 state associations are State Council Members. CIC's annual retention rate among Institutional Members has exceeded 98 percent every year since 2010.
