Enrollment by Family Income

Students of all financial backgrounds attend smaller private non-doctoral colleges (that is, private colleges and universities that don’t have PhD programs). You might be surprised to know that low- and middle-income students enroll at about the same percentages at smaller private institutions as they do at public research institutions (meaning universities that train PhD students as well as undergrads).
