    These presentation slides by Bertrand M. Harding, Jr., tax attorney and author of The Tax Law of Colleges and Universities, presented at the 2007 Presidents Institute, provide useful information on IRS regulations and the presidential spouse.

    This document provides tips for entertaining trustee spouses. It was presented by Sheila Garren, Presidential Spouse, Lynchburg College and Patricia Kepple, Presidential Spouse, Juniata College, during a 2007 Presidents Institute session entitled "Why We Do, What We Do, and How We Do It."

  • Survey of Presidential Spouses Salaries
    This survey provides useful information on the salaries and compensation of presidential spouses. Taken from a survey conducted by CIC, Bethany College (WV), and the Spouses Task Force in 1999, it includes the results of 119 presidential spouses from CIC institutions.

    This presentation by professional caterers during the 2006 Presidents Institute Spouses Program provides helpful ideas and tips on entertaining, including formal meals, picnics, and receptions.

    This document provides tips on communication skills for print, telephone, and television interviews.

  • Moving On
    These are guidelines that experienced presidential spouses may wish to use to create resource materials for their successor. New presidential spouses may also find it helpful as they move into their new role.

  • Entertaining on a Shoe String Without Repetition
    This document contains suggestions for low-cost entertaining. Suggestions were provided by participants at a 2005 Presidents Institute session, "Entertaining on a Shoe string Without Repetition."
