NetVUE is accepting applications for membership. Instructions for joining are below.
Membership Information and Benefits
Membership in the CIC Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE) is open to accredited, independent, degree-granting, colleges and universities interested in participating in NetVUE programs and services and committed to the purposes of the network. Once an institution joins NetVUE, all members of the campus community will be eligible to participate in activities, receive services, and access resources of NetVUE. Many programs and services are subsidized by NetVUE and as a result are available at reduced cost to participants of member institutions.
Financial support of NetVUE will initially come from a combination of membership dues and grant support from Lilly Endowment Inc. Thanks to Lilly’s generous support, dues in the first few years will be very low. Incrementally, by year six, Lilly’s level of support will decline and future network activities will become self-supporting by dues from participating institutions along with fees for some programs, events, and services. In addition to paying annual dues, member institutions are asked to designate a campus contact for NetVUE communications and activities.
Membership Dues
Annual NetVUE dues are based on undergraduate full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment and payable on January 1 of each calendar year. Below is a schedule of dues for the first two years:

NetVUE membership dues will be modest during the initial years thanks to generous support from Lilly Endowment Inc. It is the goal of NetVUE to become a self-sustaining membership network. Membership dues will gradually increase as grant support from Lilly diminishes over a six-year period. However, it is a NetVUE goal to keep membership affordable by schools from a broad range of types and sizes.
* To calculate your institution’s FTE Undergraduate Enrollment, use the U.S. Department of Education’s IPEDS “Fall Enrollment” survey data for the most recent academic year. The FTE Undergraduate Enrollment is calculated by adding the number of total full-time undergraduate enrollment to one-third of the part-time undergraduate enrollment; the sum is the total FTE enrollment.
