Teams of campus leaders are invited to the second national conference of the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE), which will be held March 14−16, 2013, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2013 NetVUE Conference will address the theme, “Enriching the Theological Exploration of Vocation.” This initiative, which is being administered by the Council of Independent Colleges with generous support from the Lilly Endowment Inc., was launched in fall 2009. The goal of NetVUE is to provide a nationwide campus-supported network to foster the intellectual and theological exploration of vocation among college and university students.
Each NetVUE member college and university is invited to designate a campus team, led by the president, chief academic officer, or other officers at the vice-presidential level. The team should include others who play key roles in helping undergraduates consider their vocations in relation to personal development, educational plans, and postgraduate choices. Campus leaders may include faculty members, student affairs professionals, chaplains, vocation program directors, and career services advisors. CIC will cover the cost of accommodations, meals, and materials for up to three team members of NetVUE institutions. A fourth team member may register at the institution’s expense on a space-available basis. Participating institutions are expected to pay travel expenses for team members. Please note that space at the NetVUE Conference is limited by hotel capacity. Although all NetVUE members are invited, early registration is encouraged. NetVUE membership must be current for institutional teams to participate in the conference.
