Tony Award Winning Actor
For over 35 years actor Stephen Lang has been forging a distinguished career in theatre, film and television. Notable appearances on Broadway include Colonel Jessep in A Few Good Men; Happy in Death of a Salesman with Dustin Hoffman as Willy; and Mike in Wait Until Dark opposite Quentin Tarantino and Marisa Tomei. He has also played the works of Shakespeare, Shaw, Shepard, Ibsen, Miller, Williams, Odets, O'Casey, Sophocles and many others at some of the nation’s finest theatres including the Guthrie, Goodman Theatre, Yale Reperatory, Circle in the Square, the New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Stratford Festival. Lang is the author and performer of Beyond Glory, a solo play in which he portrays eight Medal of Honor recipients from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. The critically acclaimed play had sold-out runs in Washington, DC, Chicago, and New York, as well as toured for American troops all over the globe. For his work on this show Lang was awarded the Chairman's Medal for Distinguished Service from the National Endowment for the Arts. Lang's other theatre nominations and awards include the Tony Award, Helen Hayes Award, Joseph Jefferson Award, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award. Lang recently starred in three major films including James Cameron's Avatar, Michael Mann's Public Enemies, and The Men Who Stare at Goats with George Clooney. He is a 30-year member of The Actors Studio, serving on the Board of Directors and as Artistic Director from 2005–2008.
