Institutional Membership Dues

Institutional membership in the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) is open to nonprofit, independent, baccalaureate degree-granting colleges and universities of liberal arts and sciences.  Our institutional dues are based on undergraduate, full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment.  Using the U.S. Department of Education’s IPEDS "Fall Enrollment 2007" survey data, you can calculate your FTE for this purpose by adding the number of total full-time undergraduate enrollment to one-third of your part-time undergraduate enrollment; the sum is your total FTE enrollment for the purpose of calculating dues as listed in the table below:

International Membership Dues

International membership is open to independent, baccalaureate degree-granting institutions whose main educational programs and facilities are located outside of the United States. The annual international membership dues are $900.

Associate Membership Dues

Associate membership is open to nonprofit, independent, two-year degree-granting colleges and universities of liberal arts and sciences. The annual associate membership dues are $900.

Affiliate Membership Dues

Affiliate membership is open to all nonprofit educational associations and organizations serving independent colleges and universities.  The annual affiliate membership dues are $295.
